1. Acceptance

By installing or using ScamShield you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What ScamShield Is — and Is Not

ScamShield is a risk-assessment aid. It uses pattern analysis and third-party reputation services to estimate whether a message, link, call, file or notification may be fraudulent.

A "Safe" verdict is not a guarantee that content is harmless.
A "Risky" verdict is not proof that a sender is a criminal.
The App is not a substitute for official advice from your bank, carrier or law-enforcement authorities.

3. Your Responsibilities

Use the App only on devices you own or are authorized to use.
Always apply your own judgment before acting on any verdict.
Do not use the App to harass others or to violate applicable laws.

4. Optional Online Features

Link/file scanning (VirusTotal) and AI analysis (OpenAI) require an internet connection and are subject to those providers' own terms. Availability of third-party services is not guaranteed.

5. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Scam techniques evolve constantly; no detection system catches everything.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any damages — including financial loss arising from fraud the App failed to detect, or from actions you took based on its verdicts.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be posted on this page.
